when i was a child
in a ever expanding world
everything was the biggest I’d ever seen
no distractions
& if you cut me i could shine
nowhere to be,
and to move my legs real good
each day a universe, scale the walls

sitting stiffly, gears are grinding in a shrinking world
heart is racing,
head is dizzy, no not now
i am tempted to never move my feet again
or to move my legs at all,
to try and scale the walls,
and look over

light in my skin
imagine
fairy tales can fix
disease of forgetfulness

i move my legs
and leave the room
nothing more to prove
