They said, "What laws, what laws should we follow? You must be wrong! How do we spend our money? Who do you think you are?" But he's the king who knows your questions. He made the law. He lives! Whoever humbles himself will be made like him. In Zion a cornerstone was precious, rejected by the builders the Lord is building his kingdom The king invited people over, but no one came. The food is ready, come in from the streets and eat your fill. A master, sent servants to tend the vineyard abused by workers he sent his son and they killed him

I cry for you. I would have gathered you, I would have gathered you underneath my wings This house that's left to you I've come to claim as my own no one comes to the door you've abandoned your only home Jerusalem! Jerusalem! The city killing its prophet the city killing its servant Jerusalem! Jerusalem! This temple's coming down you will not see me again I cry for you. I would have gathered you, I would have gathered you underneath my wings Jerusalem! Jerusalem! The city killing its prophet the city killing its servant Jerusalem! Jerusalem! This temple's coming down you will not see me again

Disciple: A girl prepared his body for death but never did I anoint his head. We live with him, with him we rise my Lord you know I would never deny I never meant to fall asleep how could I ever turn my back He prayed, "Lord, take this cup from me" now he's alone and so are we Christ: my body broken for you my blood poured out for you my body broken for you my blood poured out for you Disciple: take and eat of me he said with our heads bowed we eat the bread in this room, Lord, could it be true? You dwell with us, we live in you. Christ: my body broken for you my blood poured out for you my body broken for you my blood poured out for you Disciples: Your body broken for us Your blood poured out for us Christ: My body broken for you My blood poured out for you

about

He was deserted by his friends.

From his pores flowed blood.

From his mouth, prayers of grief and anxiety.

From his heart, unceasing compassion toward even his killers.

From his soul, heaving cries to His father as he gave up his last breath.

While walking with Christ through Holy Week, I see firsthand that God is not distant or unfeeling. He has plummeted the depths of human suffering. My sin, putting me at odds with God, was nailed into his bloodied flesh, and dealt with forever. I am free to be myself because I am identified by nothing other than his Love. His wounds give me a place to belong.
